What is the Giving Plan?

The Giving Plan makes generosity intentional instead of occasional. "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7). You'll build a strategic family giving plan, causes, amounts, and a regular review process.

Why does this step matter?

Generosity isn't step 7 because it's optional, it's the thread that runs through every step of this plan. Giving turns wealth from something you hold onto into something that does good beyond your own life.

How does it help you build wealth?

Giving strategically, rather than out of guilt or leftover impulse, keeps wealth from becoming self-serving. A wealth plan without a giving plan isn't a biblical plan at all.

Who this step is for:

  • Anyone wanting to give more intentionally, not just occasionally
  • Families who've never built a shared giving plan
  • Christians exploring donor-advised funds or larger giving structures
  • Anyone who wants their giving to outlast them

What you'll walk away with:

  • A written family giving plan you'll actually follow
  • An understanding of causes, amounts, and how often to review them
  • An understanding of donor-advised funds and giving structures
  • Generosity that makes a difference beyond your lifetime
Why is giving a whole step, not just a percentage in the budget?
